Rapport Back Regional Development Agencies

David Cameron and the NWDA

The conservatives were in Manchester this week and we couldn’t let our news pages go without at least a mention. It was interesting to see lots of signage and businesses take on a Blue tinge, as the expectations that they will soon be running the country is rife.

Although it has not been verbally confirmed that it would happen, we feel that the abolishment of Regional Development Agencies, such as the NWDA, would leave a big hole the North West’s business community and not just in monetary value.

As an SME based in the NW, Rapport has seen huge benefits from schemes and initiatives set up from the agency, including the High Growth Programme and a LEAD, an intensive leadership and senior management development programme which Chris has just started and is excited to undertake.

From what we can see the NWDA provides long term value for businesses in our region and, from experience, provides opportunities which may otherwise be unattainable.
